The Ryatt Goodman Foundation was created through the love, support, and generosity of friends, family, and community after Ryatt Goodman and his family faced a journey no one ever expects to walk. Through that experience, everyone involved witnessed firsthand the incredible impact compassion, hope, and community support can have for a child and family navigating a medical crisis.
 

After Ryatt suffered a life-changing traumatic injury, his recovery journey required emergency medical care, intensive rehabilitation, specialized therapies, travel, temporary relocation, missed work, and navigating an entirely new reality no family is ever fully prepared for.
 

Like many New Mexico families facing complex pediatric medical challenges, it became clear how difficult access to specialized pediatric medical care and rehabilitation services can be within our state. Many families are forced to travel out of state and take on overwhelming financial and emotional burdens simply to give their child the best possible chance at recovery.

During some of the hardest moments, the community showed up in extraordinary ways.
 

Through support, love, prayers, meals, encouragement, fundraisers, donations, and countless acts of kindness from friends, family, teachers, coworkers, neighbors and even complete strangers all came together to support Ryatt and his family. That outpouring of love became a powerful reminder that no family should ever have to walk a recovery journey alone.
 

What began as support for one child and one family quickly inspired something much bigger.
 

The Ryatt Goodman Foundation was created to pay that love forward and give back to New Mexico families facing similar challenges. The foundation’s mission is to help ease the financial and emotional burden that can come with life-saving medical care, intensive rehabilitation therapies, travel for specialized treatment, and long recovery journeys.
 

The foundation believes every child deserves the best possible chance to heal, recover, thrive, and reclaim their future — regardless of financial circumstances or geographic barriers.
 

More than anything, this foundation is built on hope.
